hot! I too cold! It's too late! It's too yucky! I too full! I too hungry! I too tired! ...these are a few of the daily, no hourly, grumblings of a certain two year old at our house. But my favorite of all was today...
I too....sumpin! (something!)
Still here!
It appears that I have become a once a month blogger! LOL! I guess it's better than nothing, huh?
October is always a fun month for us, as Paul and I celebrate birthdays (41 and 37) and our anniversary (we have survived 15 years together! :) ) It was also an exciting month for me, as I made my way to Utah for five days, by myself!
This was the first time I have been away from the girls for more than one night, so there was some uncertainty about it all. Everyone did just fine though, just a few tears as Daddy and the girls drove home from the airport and an occasional 'I miss my mommy'. Other than that they had a good time. Daddy did lots of fun things with them. When I called on Wednesday evening to check in, they were having waffles with peanut butter and chocolate syrup! (I didn't think they were going to ever want me to come home! LOL!) Thursday night they visited the local fire department and had hot dogs and such for dinner. Friday they went to the Carnival at Regan's school and ate dinner at the Cafe there. Saturday, they all went to Crazy bounce in Holland for one of Regan's classmates birthday party. Sunday they made it to church and visited the local pumpkin patch before coming to pick me up at the airport in the evening.
I had a wonderful time away and got to put faces and voices to the on-line personalities that I have been getting to know over the past year. I was especially excited to meet and room with my friend Caroline from Luxembourg. We hit it off great and had a wonderful 5 days together. She is like a sister I never had. I was especially amazed at the wonderful team we have at Scrapgirls. It isn't often that you can get together with 26 women and really feel connected to them all. There were 132 women there, once the members arrived and there simply wasn't enough time to enjoy them all!
Regan is getting excited about trick or treating this week. She doesn't know what she wants to be yet. She has no shortage of choices in her dress-up closet though!! They will do a parade at her school on Friday. I may take Sage to go see it, weather permitting, as they ask us to be outside for it.
Well, I guess that's it for now! Blessings to you!
