The new year...

It's the new year and life is back to 'normal'...whatever that means! We don't really do resolutions, but yet, it still is a time to rethink and renew commitments to the good things in life.

We bought and elliptical before Christmas, so both of us are making and effort to 'get healthy' again and drop those extra pounds that have eased there way onto our bodies. The girls have taken over my Gazelle as 'their' exerciser!! Start them young I guess! They mostly just like to use it as a swing.

My ladies Bible study will be resuming soon. We are studying 'Extraordinary Women' by Julie Clinton. This time around I am writing some extra material for those who want to have scripture verses to look up and questions to answer. The book is fantastic, but the questions are more reflective than digging through scripture. I don't claim to be a devotional writer by any means, but we are trying something different this round!

I started a new position at Scrap Girls as a layout designer. It isn't a job, as I don't get paid, per say. They assign the designers projects/layouts to do and give us free product to do them with. We then get to keep all the products. This is a really cool thing for digital scrapping, because you can reuse everything!! Besides, it's something I just really love doing and now I am doing it for a company that I adore!!

The new computer arrived saturday and is pretty much set up. Still a few things to tweak. I am not sure who is more excited, me, with all my new toys or Regan with her Fisher Price Digital Arts and Crafts Studio! If she keeps up what she is doing, she will be doing digital scrapbooking in no time!!

Sage had quite a day Friday. During 'naptime', she got into my Claritin. I had to call poison control. Everything turned out fine, but not the phone call you ever wish to make. About 4 hours later, she pulled our bar stool onto herself, giving herself a gash on the forehead and a nice black eye!! Fortunately the wound was superficial and didn't require and ER visit or stitches. What a fine parenting day that was!!

Other than that, all is well here! The ground is white again and the air is cold! It must be winter in Michigan!!

It was fun to see TWO of your designs in yesterday's ScrapGirl newsletter! I'm glad to see you're adding more "pages" to your album. :)

Also, glad to hear Sage is going to be okay. A clonk on the head by one of the bar stools had to HURT!
